Wednesday 27 January

Had a visit from the man who used to own our house this morning. He dropped in to pick up some mail and it was nice to have a little chat with him. After that we went to the mums and tots group at our own church today for the first time. Hannah & Jack and Jo & Anais joined us. Joshua didn't have a great night's sleep so he napped through a bit of the morning in Fiona's arms :) The ladies couldn't believe they were seeing a "walking baby".

Tuesday 26 January - Happy Australia Day

To celebrate Australia Day, we went to the local mums and tots group. Nothing but the best for us :) Since our return home we've been doing quite a bit of playing. It's serious business!!!

Monday 25 January

We think this sleep suit might be getting a little ... snug!!!

Joshua is lying in his very first car seat. Can't believe he fit into something that small!! And remember that when we put him in it as we left the hospital he seemed to be SWIMMING in it.

Sunday 24 January

Joshua and Lionel enjoyed a "Daddy Day" today. Which meant Fiona could go into town for High Tea with the laydees, a bit of shopping and a visit to TBT. Again, sadly no photos. But that's just because Fiona was having SUCH a magnificent time.

Funniest moment was Fiona's receipt of a phone call at 3:10pm from Lionel asking when Joshua's swimming lesson began. When Fiona answered, "3:30pm", Lionel merely said, "Well, we better get going then." :)

Saturday 23 January

Joshua's godparents visited us today. They came for dinner and bathtime and after Joshua went to sleep (after some convincing), we all had supper. Helen from church and Nerida and Karen from Australia also joined us and we had a lovely evening full of laughter and good food.

Fiona wishes she had taken some photos of the event - Annie feeding Joshua dinner, Dave Lionel and Martin reading Joshua his bible story after his bath, Martin smearing his breakfast all over his face - but she was having too much fun to stop for photos.

Friday 22 January

Received some "Happy New Year" flowers from Aunty Julie and Uncle David!! The flowers came from the Scilly Isles and are gorgeous. Jonquils, thistles and carnations in lots of pretty colours and just when you think you've seen them all, some lilies have bloomed :)

Thursday 21 January

Marion visited us today and brought LOTS of toys which Ben and Adam don't use anymore. Joshua was in seventh heaven. Lots of new buttons to press and noises to make and towers to build. Thanks Marion. And thanks too for the flowers. They are just lovely.
