Joshie still in a lot of pain today. And Fiona was having to dodge sloppy poo packages and little fire hoses as she attempted to give Joshie a bit of time out of the nappies that are aggravating his sore bottom. After a terrible night's sleep, it was all a bit of a challenge. But Joshie has been a real little trooper and managed to get through the day without too much whinging - which was pretty amazing because Fiona would have been whinging if her bottom looked like Joshua's. We're hoping the raw wounds heal tomorrow so that applying the creams doesn't hurt him quite so much. We tried using the cold cycle of the hairdryer today but that was NOT a success. Joshie was very scared of the noise of the dryer. Shame.

Thursday 18 February

We realised late on Thursday that Joshie had a shocking nappy rash...when he awoke from his nap screaming. We rushed to the GP who was so kind and had just seen her nephew experience a similar problem and was in a really bad position with burns in his nether regions. So she whipped off several prescriptions for us to treat the problem. Sadly, the application of creams on his bottom is the most painful thing of all for him just at the moment but we're praying for an improvement soon.

Wednesday 17 February

Fun in Chichester visiting Heather, Harrison and Bethany. It was a lovely sunny day so we visited the park...twice!! And Joshua tried out a few of the pieces of equipment...as well as some of Bethany's toys :)

Tuesday 16 February

A couple of days in and Joshua is really getting into his ball pit borrowed from Becky & Gabriella. And Joshua is very grateful to Harrison for his hand-me-downs. From one busy boy to another...

Monday 15 February

Sunday was spent at an "underwater photoshoot". We were hoping for a couple of interesting shots of Joshua underwater and maybe a family shot. In the end we were told "no more photos" because Joshua was NOT enjoying the underwater experience. Oh well!!

Above is a picture of the new jumper Lionel bought for Joshua. He did enjoy wearing it - despite the expression on his face. But we thought you ought to get a sight of Joshua in a "Herbert" mood. Because, let's face it, it isn't always sunshine and roses :)
