Saturday & Sunday 7 & 8 May

Last weekend with Craig and Tanya (sniff!!)

On Saturday we visited Wisley where we had lots of fun stomping in puddles and chasing the ducklings. Then we had a lovely lunch at The Anchor and Joshie threw food at the swans - although he also managed to throw quite a bit into the face of some passing cyclists.

Then after Joshie's afternoon nap we had a cream tea at the Basingstoke Canal Visitor Centre at Mytchett and had a lovely walk along the canal to Frimley Lodge Park to show Craig and Tanya the miniature railway line. Craig and Joshie kept trying to jump in the canal!!

On Sunday Joshie looked very smart ready for church...

Saturday 23 April

Lionel left the house spotless when we left this morning. Not sure if he or I was more satisfied :) We left early to have an early morning ride on the Velo-rail. We were the only ones on the ride and it was good that we weren't rushed because Fiona didn't ride very quickly. The Velo-rail was south at Conde-sur-Vire and we had lunch down at a picnic spot on the river. We spent the afternoon driving. We went to Barfleur and stopped at the lighthouse on the point before we went back to the beach at Jonville for a leisurely afternoon of play before heading to St Vaast for a snack and then Cherbourg for the ferry. A lovely sunny week but also felt nice to be heading home.
