We visited the Omaha Beach Cemetary today which was really sad. Just seeing rows and rows and rows of crosses and Stars of David representing the lives of young men from the other side of the world. It felt even more real when we drove down to the beach for lunch when we saw where the boys landed and how little protection the beach offered them. Joshua fell asleep in the car on the way home and then we spent a lazy afternoon at home. Lionel and Joshua picked some flowers and pootled around the garden. We enjoyed a lovely lamb dinner.
