We are loving being at home. The Community Midwife, Liz, came to visit us and checked Joshua over. She took some blood. We have decided we are a bit sick of being poked and prodded so hopefully that's the last one for a while. We are chilling out today and getting ourselves sorted out. Thanks to everyone for being so patient for photos and explanations. It's been a long, tough week for us.
Helen visited. We had to tell her to stop baking. She made us so many meals this week. It's been wonderful. She even bought Fi some flight socks to help improve her cankles!!! She's been so great.
We have just had a nice long visit from Pippa, James and Oliver. We lurve having visitors. Everyone had a cuddle and Joshua was very well behaved. Perhaps that had something to do with not changing his clothes or nappy whilst they were here!

We are just getting organised with all the wonderful cards and presents received from so many people. To name a few are the flowers from Fiona's work and The Bible Talks, the Baby Bloomers baby clothes flower arrangement from Robert and Lucinda, a big tin of fresh cakes and cookies from Kristin and Sarah (which isn't lasting long with a breast feeding mother in the house) and a yummy mummy bag and baby kit from Great Uncle Lloyd and family in Australia (bet that title makes you feel old, Lloydie).
Sounds like a brilliant end to your first week. I can just imagine proud Daddy (and tired Mummy) out and about in Woking. I hope you have a wonderful peaceful and joyful week this week getting to know each other and how this all works.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Fi you look amazing in the photos! Motherhood. You're a natural.
Lots of love and cannot WAIT for a cuddle,
Carol x
