On Sunday we went to church. Lionel was so excited Fiona thought he was going to burst with pride as he walked into the building. Everyone was so happy to meet the newest member of their family - especially Tony, Alison, Jemima and Candace Graham. Tony and Alison lead the area group bible study which Li and Fi are going to join and they rushed over at the end to meet the little man. Tony and Jemima both enjoyed a big cuddle and Jemima (foolishly) offered her babysitting services. Unfortunately Fi and Joshua spent most of the service in the toilet because Joshua needed a feed and Fi didn't have very good "breastfeeding clothes" on. Next week will be easier.
At the service (and before Fi disappeared into the toilet), we sang a great song about God which reminded Fi of the verse in Psalms which she'd been thinking about all through the labour and birth - "When I am afraid, I will trust in you." And Fi was reminded again how good God is and how she was right to trust in Him.
After church we had more visitors. Martin Grinnell popped in ... and brought us milk (semi-skimmed!!) What a star! Then Ruth, Robin and Annazita Barry arrived. Ruth even went on a tour of the house with Lionel even though she couldn't have cared less what the house looked like...she just wanted to hold Joshua ;) There were lots of cuddles for Joshua this afternoon!!!
